My stance on AI generated content: I vow to never use AI to write or edit my books and fictional writings. I never have and I never will use AI to write a novel or any piece of fiction with the intent of selling it, because I believe the beauty in fictional writing lies heavily on the human experience and our flaws. If I found out that the book I was enjoying was written by AI, I’d stop reading it immediately. I vow to never use AI to create a book cover or interior story illustration, as I wish to support human talent when sharing the human experience through story. However, I will and do use AI to generate images for my blog and social media (where before I’d typically use stock photos), as well as for marketing materials and tasks that don’t alter the essence of my art such as optimizing book synopses, formatting, and non-fiction editing.
